Too many fake ones now. Couple of examples: 2 weeks ago was on the escalator at Bank Station and there were 3 Romanian types, 2 men and one woman. all 3 were holding aluminium crutches. On the platform they were running along chasing each other and. Later saw one of them outside Bond St station in full cripple mode begging. Example 2, there is a woman beggar (Foreign) who sits on the corner of Bishopsgate and Cornhill. There most days sitting on the floor with her begging cup. Passing there at 15:00 one day last week and saw a bloke come up to her. She passed him her begging cup and he put the contents in his pocket. The then went walking off together. So, do I give to beggars - NO!

I tend to but sometimes I will make a judgement call to not, there definitely seems to be more about then there used to be.
My favourite argument against not doing it is that they will only spend it on booze. Good luck to them, anything that brings a small bit of happiness to their shit life is fine with me, they are hardly going to stick the money in a fucking ISA anyway

Many are advised or choose to have dogs due to mental health and or trust issues apparently. There are dog Charities that provide all free food and vet care for homeless people with dogs so it doesn't cost them anything to have a dog.

Yeah it’s a difficult question infidel!
Where do we spend our welfare money how do we weed out the genuinely needy from the piss takers. Same questions for the NHS send home the piss heads that clog up A&E on a Friday andSaturday night!

Before any of you throw any coins the way of these parasites, consider the following.
Public services have to be paid for somehow. All that welfare, education, local government and the NHS. It costs around 750 billion a year to pay for it all, around £12,000 per man woman and child.
All of us have to do our bit. Go to work, earn and pay our taxes to fund it all. Almost everyone I know does exactly that, including most on this site.
But the street beggars have opted out. They have made the most extraordinarily selfish of lifestyle choices: if they get sick they expect to be treated for free on the NHS but they think they are exempt from actually funding it.
We are forever being told that street beggars are victims. Doubtless some are. But we pay a fortune every year for social services to give them a helping hand back into a productive life. Some take it. Others don't.
And as many have pointed on here, there are an awful lot of scammers too - you have no idea if they are genuinely needy or part of some racket.
So I would suggest instead of handing them cash you ask them a simple question: what gives you the right to opt out of paying for public services?
That and a kick up the backside would do more good than a couple of quid to be spent on a can of triple strength cider.

Saw some poor sod outside the Apple shop in Regent st yesterday afternoon freezing sleet coming down even his dog was under the blanket, went to pret and got him a cup of tea and a ham and cheesy toasted. Had a chat with him and he said it’s £26 in the shelter cos he’s got a dog, surely the shelters don’t charge do they? Any social workers out there

i worked at the Coral down hamlet court road in westcliff for a year or so , and the Local Ham and Egger , use to come in like clock work every lunch time and would have accmolated 20 quid in change , and asked me to give him a note for it , and by 7 pm he'd be in again for the same thing.
it gors on booze and smack , and people use to come in and say why dont you mive him on and have a problem with it.
i use to think there nothing stopping you from doing it, if you think its such a plentiful existence , and they're having the time of their lives...
they use to get quite territorial about their plot and frequently kicked off

Sven
There are organised gangs that have groups of people sent out to beg effectively as a business. That is not all of them of course.
I never give money. I do buy them food - any of them that ask for money for food and you offer to buy food, then they start stammering and go "errr, just give me the money it's ok",,, sure sign they're just cunts.

Seems to be a bit of franchising going on Was in the West End this afternoon and my friend and I decided to walk up through Marylebone Lane to Baker St Saw a bloke with a small cardboard sign stating ' I am very hungry. God bless you'
Thought nothing of it but saw another bloke about 10 mins later with a similar cardboard sign that said 'I am very hungry. God bless you' Got near Baker St tube and saw a third with the same sign.
Got off at West Hampstead and bloke 4 had a sign that said .... you can guess
Plagiarism? Lack of imagination? Beggars Inc?
